Please help new to game need a ladder

You should be able to buy a ladder diy from Timmy, as well as diys for all the other tools. (Shovel, Axe, Vaulting Pole, etc.)

Hard to get coins at beginning of the game. You're using all your resources to build. Little left over to sell.

Did you get the DIY?

Yeah that's true, not alot of ways to get bells, but I mean, if you went and bought a wet suit right away (Wish I had done that) then you could go scuba diving and get good amounts of bells (with a full inventory of sea creatures)
